Just read a really interesting article about EV driving/battery range over on one of my goto sites Cleantechnica (opens in new tab).
Zach always writes interesting stuff and this one is no exception. It has lots of charts and graphs and makes extremely valid points.

Charging time

It seems that every time I read an article about driving electric, the time to charge is raised. That apart from the other “range” one.
Thing is, most of these articles are not written by owners. Just by reviewers who miss the point.

Personal Duty?

Until you ride as a passenger, or better yet, drive it – you really have no idea what its like. Most people expect all sorts of weirdness or poor performance.
Which made me realize the one thing I initially missed about owning an electrically motivated car.
It becomes your unspoken duty to take people for a drive.
Maybe just volunteer to drive on the lunch run, or be the designated driver one evening. Almost every person who sits in your car will say “oh, this is electric, cool”.
